Dr. Tomlinson also spent 21 years as a classroom teacher creating differentiated programs for both struggling and advanced learners. Differentiated instruction and assessment strategies covered in the master's program include: pre-assessment of learning styles and preferences, modifying lessons based on student readiness, tiered instruction, flexible grouping, and authentic assessment.

This is the perfect graduate program for educators who already have or do not need a master's degree. This program features the core differentiated instruction and assessment courses that are central to the master's program. With this unique program, you will receive a solid introduction to the theory that underlies differentiation, you will learn numerous practical instructional strategies that you can begin to use immediately, and you will learn how to use differentiated assessment tools to accurately gauge student progress. The start dates for this program are in May, August, and October of each year.

The USDLA Award for Best Practice in Distance Learning Programming is presented to organizations that have designed and delivered outstanding and comprehensive distance learning programs.
Established in 1987, the USDLA was the first nonprofit distance learning association to focus on the quality of distance learning degrees and programs in the United States. Previous USDLA Award winners include the Harvard Graduate School of Education, the University of Southern California, Boston University, and the State University of New York Learning Network.
The online quality schools Master of Education Degree Program began in 2003 with an enrollment of eight students. Since then, over 600 classroom teachers from across the United States have enrolled in the distance learning degree program that has a 96% completion rate.
